2012 BWFS Summer Retreat

"Being A Sister Within The Sisterhood"

June 26-29, 2012

Pigeon Forge, TN

The BWFS is proud to announce the first of many Summer Retreat's "Being A Sister Within The Sisterhood". We will be hosting a retreat in Pigeon Forge, TN, June 26-29, 2012. The trip will cost approximately $74.00 p/p for a 4/3 night stay in cabins. BWFS is asking for a $50.00 non-fundable deposit p/p. All payments can be made online through pay pals. The deadline for the deposit is January 27, 2012.

 

We are working on getting Ms. Victoria Lowe of Host of Heaven Inc. If any of you didnt hear Ms. Lowe in Dallas, TX, you missed a treat, She is a very inspirational speaker. She is willing to come out and speak with us on this subject.

 

Our objective is to focus on being "A Sister Within the Sisterhood! Please come out and let us hear your voice! We want to see the love, show the love and give the love!     Fire Service Leaders Urge All Residents to Install, Test Home Smoke Alarms - Today!
    Yesterday, Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers, Baltimore Fire Chief James Clack, Washington, D.C. Fire Chief Dennis Rubin, and other fire organization leaders joined U.S. Fire Administrator Greg Cade to ask all residents of this nation to install, maintain, and test their smoke alarms. This national effort is a result of one of the deadliest holiday seasons in recent memory and several significant fires in the first days of 2009.


    USFA Releases Provisional 2008 Firefighter Fatality Statistics
    USFA announced today there were 114 on-duty firefighter fatalities in the United States as a result of incidents that occurred in 2008. During this period, firefighters were lost from 34 states and one from the Virgin Islands.


    Voice Radio Communications Guide for the Fire Service Released
    USFA and the International Association of Fire Fighters today released a new guide to assist the fire service in navigating through the complex technological and legal issues surrounding today's public safety communications options.


    NIOSH Supports Seat Belt Use by Firefighters
    USFA is pleased to announce that the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has endorsed the National Fire Service Seat Belt Campaign, reinforcing the importance of wearing these safety devices to the American Fire Service.


    USFA Relaunches Smoking & Home Fires Campaign

    Home fire season starts now and USFA wants to make this season safer, especially as it relates to the number one cause of preventable home fire deaths in the nation - fires caused by smoking materials.
